Ice Pond Park

Ice Pond Park is a 9-acre preserve featuring a loop trail around a freshwater pond with a marsh to the south and Chase Creek to the north. The pond was historically used for ice harvesting. Today it offers excellent birdwatching opportunities and a peaceful walk through varied wetland habitats. Located on New York Avenue near the center of Shelter Island.
